The Blue School is an 11 to 18 Church of England Voluntary Controlled coeducational school with over 1450 pupils. The history of the school dates back to 1641. It became known as The Blue School around 1750 after the colour of the free blue uniform. The school was designated a Specialist Science College in 2003 and enjoys an excellent local reputation reflected by a growing intake.
The campus is very attractive, with approximately 32 acres of playing fields and superb views across the city. There is an on site Sports Development Centre with sports hall, floodlit all weather pitch, fitness room and weights room.

Available classrooms are equipped with high-spec IT equipment including 23 with Interactive white boards connected to ceiling mounted projectors. Nine computer suites have between 15 to 30 PC's each.
Both halls have a stage with tables and chairs available. The school's catering contractor can quote for external events, please contact via the school.
Most of the buildings are accessible, with facilities such as lifts, ramps and automated doors throughout the campus.
